The digital camera screen is one of the things which sets the digital camera apart from the film camera. It provides an option for the photographer to view the shot as it happens live. For some this is considered as a live view technology where the outcome of the shot can be viewed right in the digital camera screen or the LCD screen.
The LCD screen, LCD which stands for Liquid Crystal Display, of the digital camera allows the images taken by the camera to be viewed on the camera. The LCD is considered as the camera’s view finder, for point&shoots, this is where you look to assess and take the photo. It tells you what you are looking at and focusing on. For DSLRs, the LCD is the viewfinder used after you take the photo. The digital camera screen does not affect the photo quality in any way it is just the place where you view the picture.
A lot of digital cameras experience LCD malfunction. The camera may be working perfectly well, but the LCD may not. As the digital camera screen does not in any way affect the way photos are taken. If the digital camera screen is broken, it is best to have an expert do the repairs. As the digital camera screen is very sensitive, thus, any DIY repairs can only destroy other parts of your digital camera.
